Following the recent events in Ukraine, the Federal Public Service Finance has updated the consolidated list of individuals that are subject to financial sanctions and freezing measures. This list is available on the General Administration of the Treasury’s website in French or in Dutch.
In the Belgian Official Gazette of 11 February 2022 the Law of 1 February 2022 amending the Law of 18 September 2017 on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing and on the restriction of the use of cash was published in order to introduce provisions regarding the status and supervision of providers of exchange services between virtual currencies and fiat currencies and custodian wallet providers. The law comes into force on 21 February 2022.
